This episode marks three awesome occasions: 1) the 50th episode of the Clubcast; 2) the 10th anniversary of writing my song “Hello, Zunyko” (during my very first attempt at the “album in a day” experiment); and 3) the wonderful conversation I got to share with my friend Kyle about his experiences with Japanese culture, language, and music, culminating in a trip he took to visit Japan last year. We discuss his observations about the country (both the good and the bad) and how he’s found a subculture of Japanese Christian music, such as the band Magnify Tokyo. The episode ends with the now-decade-old demo of “Hello, Zunyko.”
