Lauren McCoy, AKA the artist behind the album artwork for Unfall, joins me for a discussion around the band Mae (unequivocally the artist that my music most frequently gets compared to). We discuss our mutual love for their debut album Destination: Beautiful and how we both became acquainted with the album at different times, years after its initial release, and then we compare Beautiful with its follow-up, Destination: B-Sides. The conversation then takes a tangent to discuss all the ways that Mae has attempted to revise their musical catalogue and how I’ve made some of those same misguided decisions.
